As of late, I have been spellbound by a couple of books by the incredible author, David Deida. Specifically, I have devoured his books “Dear Lover” and “Intimate Communion“. Much of what he shares in these two pieces as they pertain to women, is cultivating, embodying, and living from our native sexual essence in every moment – Which for most women, is going to be the feminine essence. I won’t even begin to try and summarize the depth of what he shares in these books, but I do encourage you to read one or both of these books for exploring this further, if this speaks to you!
Deida’s poetically woven wisdom speaks to my soul in a way that few authors do. What I have learned and embodied from his teachings have inspired my soul and transformed me to the core. The following is a bit of writing that has come from my process.
I sincerely recommend David Deida’s books to all women and men!
Coming Home to Our Essence
slowly my edges fade.
Dropping into that sweet feminine surrender.
It is a coming home,
to my essence.
Where I want to be,
where I want to operate from.
That honey-love, juicy heart-centered space.
Vulnerable and open,
receptive and awake,
sexy and vibrant.
Shining like the Full Moon’s radiance.
So accepting and devotional,
with a depth of caring unlike anything else…
The feminine essence.
Such a sexual creature we are…
Oozing sensuality and divine beauty.
Always prepared for and attracting connection.
Holding the world in our wombs and safety in our breasts,
Ready to nurture at a moments notice.
That delicious feminine…
Coming home to her, always.
